As travel bloggers we are very passionate about experiencing new destinations and using the power of social media and our blog to share tips with other travellers. Informative travel blogs and useful travel app have been a huge help to us over our last 3 years of traveling and we literally wouldn’t have found all those amazing places without the help from fellow bloggers.
We always add relevant travel articles to reading lists and take notes + screenshots of tips about places we plan to travel to. Then when we arrive to our destination we get a map, find directions to all the places we want to see and create a route we’re going to take…
…But recently we’ve found an awesome new travel app that does all this for you!
The Benefits Of A Travel Article App
GPSMyCity is a travel app that features self-guided city walks and travel articles for cities all around the world. Basically you read your favourite travel articles on the app and they’re all automatically linked to a route on an offline map that shows you all the famous (and secret) places mentioned by travel bloggers.
We are budget travellers so we absolutely love this concept because it saves you money on hiring physical guides or paying ridiculous prices for tour buses. There’s nothing like arriving in a new place and having a personal ‘sat nav’ to guide you to the best parts of a city, without even having to use your phone’s internet!
Free App Giveaway
To start using GPSMyCity you can download the travel app for free, which gives you access to thousands of travel articles to over 700 cities worldwide. When you find an article you like you can download it to read offline and upgrade to start using the GPS tracking feature. We only align with companies who we believe make a difference to people’s travel experience and feel humbled to have had some of our blog posts featured on the GPSMyCity app.
Here are examples of what you can download so you can experience how this cool new concept works…

Note: In the future upgrades won’t be free. If you do upgrade our paid article apps, we will hopefully receive enough cents from GPSMyCity to buy us a couple of coffees…and that will surely motivate us to continue writing free content!
We hope you found this article helpful and look forward to hearing your feedback on this awesome new travel app 🙂
