{Video} Living In Bali 2017 – 3 months in 3 minutes

Canggu scooter

At the end of 2016, we landed in Bali where we would be living for the next 3 months whilst waiting for Will’s Australia visa to be processed. It was a huge bucket list dream of ours to be living in Bali and it was an unforgettable time.

The first stop was Ubud, and it was magical to spend a month surrounded by mountains, rice fields and rainforests. Read our Budget Traveller’s Guide To Ubud as well as our post on Best Restaurants In Ubud for all our budget-savvy tips.

Canggu Living In Bali

For our second round of 30 days of living in Bali we chose to stay in the South of the island as we were missing the coastline. We didn’t want to be based in the hectic Kuta or Seminyak so we chose Canggu, an expat/surfer community about 15 minutes drive North of Seminyak. We also managed to explore other regions of Bali like Uluwatu and Nusa Dua during this month. There’s a lot of things to do in Canggu, and places to eat {check out our guide to restaurants & cafes in Canggu}.

After a busy month in Canggu previously, we missed the tranquility and culture of Ubud so we decided to go back there to spend our final month of living in Bali and live life at a slower pace.
