The other night I sat down at my laptop at 9pm and randomly decided that I was FINALLY going to get back into writing again. ~ It’s been such a busy year that I’d continuously been putting off publishing new content, which is kinda crazy considering it’s something that I really enjoy doing. ~ After some thought I realised the reason I hadn’t been motivated to maintain my blog was because I no longer felt proud of it. At first glance the website looked super old and outdated. I didn’t really want people going on it, so why bother putting in the effort to add new content? ~ That night out of nowhere I had this intense creative energy flow through me and I decided to give my blog a huge refresh. I got so into designing and playing with new templates that before I knew it I could hear early morning birds chirping outside my window! ~ They do say when you’re in a state of flow, you are so immersed in the moment, utterly absorbed in the present activity that time seems to fall away. This “losing track of time” was next level as almost 8 hours had past and I had accidentally done an all-nighter. ~ When the sun came up I surprisingly felt SO energised and SO happy. At 5am instead of going to sleep I went for a walk along the beach and watched the world wake up. I had this intense feeling of gratitude for EVERYTHING (I was probably very delirious from lack of sleep ) ~ But being on this natural high gave me an even deeper realisation that I have spent way too much time this year doing things that don’t light me up, and completely ignoring the things that do. ~ I have been trying to ‘force’ things to happen for me by doing what I think I ‘should’ be doing to be happy, rather than feeling in to what I actually want to do and naturally falling into a state of happiness. ~ So from now on I am going to focus on doing what I feel like doing at any given moment, and trusting that my intuition will guide me to exactly where I need to be. ~ I’m so curious, have you yourself ever felt such an intense state of flow where you completely lost track of time? What were you doing? And when was the last time you did that very thing? Comment below... ~ #stateofflow #thebalibible Dreaming about being back in Bali in our honeymoon spot P.S. This straw is not plastic #thebalibible #uluwatubali #honeymoondestination Be happy for this moment, this moment is your life. It’s S U M M E R T I M E ☀️ Who’s been here before? ‍♀️ #dronephotography #droneporn Remember when you wanted what you currently have? ☺️ It feels so fricken good to take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come to get to where you are at this very moment. #somuchgratitude 🥰 How we spend our days, is how we spend our lives... 🤙 Home sweet home ☺️ Grateful to get to walk along the river and through the park to get my gate each day 🦋 #dailycommute Can’t believe this has been our base for already 11 months... that’s the longest we’ve been in one place, EVER. Totally getting itchy feet and dreaming of what it would be like to live in an actual house outside the city. But so hard to leave when we’ve got it so good. Exactly 6 months ago today we secretly got ‘legally’ married at a registry office in Australia with just two witnesses present, and celebrated with lunch at a fancy restaurant and a special night in a luxe hotel on the Gold Coast. ~ All before flying to Bali for our “ACTUAL” dream beach wedding with our closest family. It was too complicated for the wedding to be ‘legal’ in Bali so we did the that part this way, and now we will always have the problem of not knowing which date to celebrate! Just kidding... for me the day we shared our personal vows and made forever promises to each other on the beach in Bali was the REAL thing, and that will be always be our wedding anniversary. BUT, in saying that, getting legally married is kinda a big deal? So it at least deserves an Instagram post...(or it didn’t happen ) Has anyone else done the same before their destination wedding?? Tell me. P.S. What do you think of my ‘legal wedding’ dress? #mrandmrs #husbandandwife #legalwedding

Buy me a cup of coffee

A ridiculous amount of coffee was consumed in the process of building this project. Add some fuel if you'd like to keep me going!
