Getting the most out of your GoPro might be a little bit challenging sometimes, especially if you are a new user or you simply didn’t have the chance to actually play with it enough to really know what works best.

Even if the camera handles most of the technical aspects by itself and you don’t really need to have a background in photography or videography to take good shots, there are quite a few tips and tricks to really make your GoPro photos or videos really pop on social media.

Over at Veedyou, the vast majority of the requests we get are GoPro video editing services, so we literally browsed through hundreds of hours of GoPro footage and thousands of photos. Most of the times the material we get lacks because the footage is too shaky, the lighting is not optimal, the sound is all squeaky or simply because the ‘hero’ is not really in the shot.

There might be situations where from 60 minutes of footage there are only 2-3 minutes of decent video. Needless to say, the final video edit will be pretty much as good as the raw footage is. Yeah, there are plenty of tweaks, FXs, and transitions you can do in post-production, but eventually, the quality of the raw footage can make or break your video.

So we’ve teamed up with avid GoPro users and came up with a ton of advice on how to get the most out of your GoPro.
